Kaka has been linked with a return to Serie A, and Inter are hopeful of pulling of a deal in an attempt to hit back at Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer.
Inter never signed any top-player during the summer, despite making attempts for former Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.
And while the club have maintained the lack of spending won't jeopardise their campaign, Tronchetti Provera insists Kaka is the right idea.
"I would like to see Kaka play for Inter. The player we saw at Milan was great, and I would like to see him wear the Nerazzurri shirt," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"Inter have signed many great players and you can see this by the champions the take to the field on Sundays.
"It's not a problem if we didn't sign anyone in the summer, but a useful player can always arrive."
