Mumbai Ranji Trophy player Sushant Marathe's 119 helped Cricket Club of India pocket three points in the 'A' Division of the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League tie at Azad Maidan yesterday.
CCI managed to post 317 for five in reply to Fort Vijay CC’s 314. Marathe was ably supported by Sujit Nayak, who scored 83 not out, to help chase down the mammoth total.u00a0

In another ‘A’ Division tie, Karnataka Sporting Association’s Shivam Dubey slammed an unbeaten 110 against National Cricket Club. The match, however, ended in a draw as Karnataka could not surpass National CC’s 267. Prolific batsman Siddhesh Lad missed a century by two runs for National.
Meanwhile, Siddharth Chitnis inspired MIG Cricket Club’s chase with an unbeaten 92 against Parel Sporting Club to take the first innings lead. Chitnis was well-supported by Sumit Ghadigaonkar (81) and Akash Parkar (52) as MIG posted 315-5 in reply to Parel SC’s 227.
Larson D’Costa and Sarvesh Damle slammed centuries for Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Dr DY Patil SA respectively. The matches, however, ended without yielding any results.
D’Costa’s 120 helped SPG post 277-4. Victory CC, in reply, scored 176-5.u00a0DY Patil, riding on Damle’s 130, posted 343-9. Shashank Singh (88) and Yogesh Pawar (51) were the other major contributors to the team total. In reply, Greater Mumbai Police SC scored 259-5 thanks to Shahid Shaikh’s 50.
