"I feel it is wrong for the on-field umpire's decision to be final after it has been sent for referral," Kapil
said at a https://www.cricketfreeq.com/ event. "The ICC should change the process (of decision-making). The UDRS must decide whether the batsman is out or not out, it should not be thrown back to the on-field umpire," he said.
Kapil also disagreed with the ICC's decision to reduce the 2015 World Cup to a 10-team affair. He said associate teams must be part of the flagship event. "I feel they should be a part of the World Cup to make cricket a more global sport," he said.
However, he was not sure if the current Indian team have it in them to win back the coveted trophy as he felt the bowling department could become the team's Achilles' heel.
"I cannot predict India's win in the World Cup (this time) as they have a weak bowling line-up. Most of the teams are playing well now and have a good chance," said the legend who, led India to their historic triumph in England in 1983. Kapil's devils beat the mighty West Indies at Lord's.
