Lalit Modi vows to name culprits

Suspended Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi did not attend the Indian cricket board's disciplinary committee meeting in New Delhi yesterday, but he vowed to come out in the open with names behind the IPL mess.

It is learnt that Modi is in Europe. "It will happen soon," said Modi on Twitter in response to a follower, who said: "U should reveal the men behind the act."

Earlier, Modi wrote: "Just a witch hunt without substance. Truth will come out sooner than later."

The BCCI disciplinary committee probing into Modi's alleged financial irregularities decided to stick to their stand on the contentious recusal issue. The committee decided that there will be no more discussion on Modi not wanting certain people on the panel. "Just heard that BCCI want my lawyers to recuse themselves! Shocked since meeting was for committee's recusal. People party to all decisions don't want to recuse themselves. But want my team who are presenting my case too. Is this how an enquiry is done?" wrote Modi.
