Liverpool have submitted a ufffd21.8million bid for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, the Liverpool Echo claimed yesterday.

The 24-year-old Brazilian international would be the third most expensive signing in the club’s history behind Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.
