Sensational bowling by left-arm spinner Aman Manihar saw him claim match figures of nine for 109 for Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) against Green Bombay Urdu (Kurla) in the Harris Shield (Elite) Super League Round Three match at Matunga Gymkhana yesterday. Rizvi ended up winning by an innings and 175 runs. Chasing a huge total of 489, Green Bombay resumed Day Two at 86 for four. Rizvi's spinners Aman Manihar and Farhan Shaikh caused havoc in the opposition camp and ripped the opposition batting line-up. Ali Jawwad top-scored for the Kurla outfit with 79 off 73 balls.

The Kurla team were skittled out for a mere 199 in the first innings. For Rizvi, Aman claimed 3 for 45 while Farhan grabbed 4 for 27. Following on, the Kurla outfit lost the wicket of Roshan Kanojia for a duck. Aman Ansari contributed 59 before being bowled by Farhan. After being reduced to 100-6 at one stage, they were bundled out yet again for a paltry 115.


Nishant, Rishi shine
Meanwhile at DPC, Matunga, fine bowling performances from spinners Nishant Kadam (4-49) and Rishi Shah (3-42) helped Swami Vivekanand International School (Kandivali) win by virtue of their first innings lead against Lilavati Podar High School (Santacruz). The Kandivali outfit posted a total of 369-9 declared on Day One. On Day Two, Lilavati Podar managed 165 in 64.3 overs. Skipper Abbas Karachiwala top-scored with an unbeaten 65. When Swami Vivekanand decided to bat again, Anubhav Sharma remained unbeaten on 65 while Rishi Shah contributed an unbeaten 23. They ended the day on 146 for one.
