No show cause notice to Agarkar: MCA

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has decided not to issue a show cause notice to Ajit Agarkar for leaving the team in a huff on Tuesday after not being picked in the playing XI for the Ranji Trophy tie against Orissa in Cuttack.

"There is no question of taking any action against Ajit because he requested us (MCA) to allow him to come back to Mumbai and we granted him the permission. So why should we issue a show cause notice to him? If he had not taken the permission, then it would have been a different scenario," Nitin Dalal, MCA's joint honorary secretary, told MiD DAY yesterday.

He also informed that the MCA is not going to take any action against Zaheer Khan's outburst in the media.
"We are not going to take action against anyone at this moment. We are awaiting reports from the coach (Sulakshan Kulkarni) and team manager (Srikant Tigdi).

"We will also call Ajit for his views and look at the possibility of solving the issue. Let the team come back. Only then can we arrive to some conclusion," Dalal added.
