The Portugal international felt that keeping everybody happy is a tough job and stressed that he does his utmost to please as many people as possible, but feels it’s impossible to keep everyone satisfied.

The 27-year-old has divided the opinions of fans all over the world, and often receives hostile receptions from opponents’ supporters.
“Not even God can please everyone. I always try to be a good person, who the majority of people like. But showing too much humility is a flaw. People either hate me or love me,” the attacker told Globo.
“I always try and work hard in order to be the best at what I do. In my opinion, everybody should have the objective to be the best at what they do, regardless of his or her profession,” said the Portuguese star, who is one of three players in the running for the Ballon d’Or alongside Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.
Both Ronaldo and Andres Iniesta — who has said he is happy just to be on the three-man shortlist — are in contention, but the 91-goal Argentine is an overwhelming favourite to pick up a record fourth successive trophy.

Meanwhile, in the Spanish League over the weekend, goalkeeper Iker Casillas came off the bench for 10-man Real Madrid, who needed a second half double from Ronaldo to beat Real Sociedad 4-3 while leaders Barcelona cruised to a 4-0 win over Espanyol. Why Mourinho skipped Ballon d’Or function
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho decided against travelling to last night’s Ballon d’Or Gala in Zurich not only because he didn’t think he was going to win the award for Best Coach, but also due to his strained relationship with his own players, Goal.com has learnt. According to sources, he wasn’t keen on sharing a trip with players such as Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, with whom he has clashed recently. “It’s one thing to be in a flight full of other people, but he felt the atmosphere wouldn’t be right with just him and the players,” said the source.
Ronaldo supports ‘Save the Children’
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has kicked off 2013 as Save the Children’s new Global Artist Ambassador. In his new role, he will fight child hunger and obesity, and promote physical activity and healthy eating. “When I learned that 1 in 7 kids around the world go to bed hungry each night, I jumped at the chance to get involved,” said Ronaldo. “It’s an honor to join Save the Children. I want to work with them to make sure that fewer parents will have to struggle with putting the right kind of food on the table. As a dad, I know it is important to give my two-year-old son a healthy life, right from the start, and I want to give all kids that same chance,” he added.
Cristiano, also the captain of the Portugal National Football team, will follow in the footsteps of Save the Children Artist Ambassadors Jennifer Connelly and Julianne Moore in lending his voice and visibility for good. Shabana Azmi, Parineeti Chopra and Kunal Kapoor are among Save the Children's champions from India.
