Prime Minister David Cameron's impromptu visit to the England cricket team's dressing room after Friday's play sent a towel-wrapped James Anderson scurrying for his clothes.

Cameron, who came to The Oval to watch the play, visited the England dressing room to congratulate the players on becoming the World No 1.

Anderson was caught off guard by the visit.

"They say strange things can happen after a shower. I emerged from mine after Friday's play in only a towel to find the Prime Minister in our dressing room," Anderson wrote in his column in Daily Mail.
