Though Pakistan have never beaten India in a World Cup game (50-over and T20) till date, the fortunes are likely to change this time in the ICC World T20 (September 18-October 7), according to Pakistan's new T20 skipper Mohammad Hafeez.
Hafeez replaced Misbah-ul-Haq as T20 skipper after the series defeat (1-2) to England in February this year. India are placed in Group A and their arch-rivals are in Group D. The neighbours are likely to clash first in the Super Eights (on September 30).

Hafeez is aware of Pakistan’s poor World Cup record against India and is gunning to change it this time. “The mindset is always to win against any opposition. We may not have beaten India in the World Cups, but it can change this time round.
“We will take it one game at a time (in World T20),” said Hafeez, who played five matches for Wayamba United in the Sri Lanka Premier League.u00a0“As captain, I have made some plans on how our approach will be against each opponent. The team picked for the World T20 is the best we have,” added the captain.

Kandurata Warriors’ two-run win over Wayamba United was enough to unsettle Mahela Jayawardene’s men, believes Man of the Match Chris Lynn. The Australian, who scored 80 off 51 balls for Kandurata in the SLPL, said: “We may unsettle them a little bit. We have got a huge morale booster with this win.”
