Hamilton: A dramatic final-session collapse from Pakistan handed New Zealand a 2-0 series win over the tourists yesterday. Pakistan lost nine wickets after tea on the final day as they were bowled out for 230, giving New Zealand victory by 138 runs.
Pakistan would have been confident of a draw when they reached tea at 158 for one, with only Azhar Ali departing midway through the afternoon for 58. After Sarfraz Ahmed was run out for 18 the collapse gathered pace. It gives New Zealand their first series win over Pakistan since 1985.
