Pathan, Zol take West Zone to Deodhar final

Yusuf Pathan hit 68 as West Zone thrashed South Zone by five wickets to reach the final of the Deodhar Trophy semi-final here yesterday. West will now face North in the summit clash today

West Zone won the toss and put South into bat. South scored a decent 258 for five in the allotted 50 overs with Stuart Binny (65) and Sachin Baby (58) making good contributions.u00a0

In reply, West notched up the target in 41.1 overs riding on the senior Pathan’s 68 off 53. Pathan hit eight boundaries and two sixes. India U-19 batsman Vijay Zol also hit 75 off 88, which included 11 boundaries and a six.
