Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has hailed his side's performance after their spectacular comeback against Chelsea, claiming "this point could win us the league." The Red Devils found themselves 3-0 down just before the hour mark at Stamford Bridge following an own goal from Jonny Evans before Juan Mata and David Luiz also struck.

An inspired comeback from Alex Ferguson's side, spearheaded by Rooney, clawed the scoreline back to 3-3 and saw United close to within two points of Manchester City -- a result which the 26-year-old believes could go a long way to deciding the outcome of the title race.
He told Sky Sports after the match: "We fought well, fought hard and, you never know, that point could win us the league. A lot of teams could find it easy to put their heads down and accept the defeat but we carried on and worked hard."
Taunts spurred me on: Rio
Rio Ferdinand thanked Chelsea fans, who taunted him, for inspiring Manchester United's comeback at Stamford Bridge. The Red Devils were 3-0 down just five minutes into the second half of the EPL match but came back to draw 3-3 thanks to two Wayne Rooney penalties and a header from Javier Hernandez.
Ferdinand, whose brother Anton is at the centre of the John Terry row after accusing the England man of racially abusing him, was booed throughout. Ferdinand later hit back via Twitter: "I got booed by the CFC fans today -- well done guys. Thanks for inspiring me & the lads! That's like fuel to me! TeamSpirit."
