Forty two-year-old Pravin Tambe, who was drafted into Mumbai's Ranji Trophy squad for the first time for their game against Jharkhand, may have to wait for his first-class debut a little longer.
Sources in the team said Tambe is unlikely to figure in the playing XI for today’s match. Mumbai skipper Abhishek Nayar too ruled out the option of going in with two spinners.

Left-arm spinner Vishal Dabholkar has been the in-form tweaker for the defending champions, claiming 20 wickets in four matches. “It doesn’t look like we can include two spinners in the team. The wicket is a bit wet today due to recent showers. We will take a final call only tomorrow morning,” said Nayar.
Coach Sulakshan Kulkarni too did not drop any hints of playing Tambe. “Let’s wait for tomorrow. Tambe is a quality leg spinner.u00a0“It is very difficult to not get hit for a six in the T20 format. He has done that in the Champions League,” he said.
Tambe, who starred for Rajasthan Royals in the last CLT20, will be the oldest player to debut in first-class cricket.u00a0
