Rajasthan Royals

SHANE WARNE: The success of Rajasthan Royals can be attributed to the Australian legendary spinner. Being captain and coach of the team Warne would hope to repeat the same heroics his team managed in the inaugural season of IPL.

GRAEME SMITH: The South African captain will have to play a major role in taking RR to the top. He might have to play the role of shepherding the innings as other around him go for the big shots.

KAMRAN KHAN: Sent home midway form last year's IPL, the left-arm quick bowler has corrected his action and it will be interesting to see if he can have the same impact as last year before he was called for chucking.

MUNAF PATEL: He has the ability to bowl a nagging line at a good pace to frustrate the batsmen. Consistency has been his biggest problem and it remains to be seen if Shane Warne can get the best out of him.

MORNE MORKEL: A genuine quick bowler, the South African was impressive in the recent series in India. Will have to spearhead the bowling attack.

SWAPNIL ASNODKAR : The 26-year old diminutive opener from Goa shot to prominence in the IPL, where his fearless style evoked memories of Sri Lanka's Romesh Kaluwitharanau00a0 and won the praise of his captain Shane Warne.

YUSUF PATHAN: The 27-year-old all-rounder was found wanting in the second edition on the bouncier South African wickets, but on Indian wickets, he will be more than a handful. Also, capable with the ball.

NAMAN OJHA: A capable top-order batsman and wicketkeeper has not had an impressive run in the IPL and would be hoping for more consistency this time.

SHAUN TAIT: Regarded perhaps as the most destructive T20 bowler in the game today, Royals' fate in the IPL will have a lot to do with how the Australian performs.

DAMIEN MARTYN: A right-handed middle-order batsman with a 'classical' technique, known in particular for his elegant stroke-making will hope to work in tandem with his Aussie teammate Shane Warne in this year's IPL season.

Dimitri Mascarenhas: One of the first English players to play in the IPL, Mascarenhas is a big-hitting right-handed batsman who is also very capable of bowling medium pace.
