"We need to turnaround quickly." Shane Warne meant every word he said after Rajasthan Royals suffered their second loss in the Indian Premier League last night.
The six-wicket defeat to Delhi Daredevils was their first home game loss in the IPL and it forced Warne to warn (no pun intended) his troops that there was something called a "panic" button.u00a0u00a0
"There are 12 games to go. There is a red panic button... let's not hit that just yet. But the next couple of games are crucial for us," Warne said, dejection written all over his face.u00a0
With the pressure mounting, Warne said he might think of a complete overhaul of the team if necessary especially now that the men originally assigned to perform their roles had failed. "Now, everyone's spots will be looked at for the next game," he said.
After an inspiring training session on Sunday evening where the players spent extra time in working on their roles, Warne said he was positive Rajasthan would put up a brave effort against Delhi. Instead, it was a lame display by the 2008 champions. "We were outplayed in every department," he stressed.
Rajasthan are missing the services of Shane Watson, the Australian all-rounder, who was the tournament's most valuable player in 2008. Much was expected from Graeme Smith, the most experienced batsman, but the South African failed to rise to the occasion for the second game in a row.

Warne, declared straightaway that he was "grumpy and angry" as he sat down to field questions during the media briefing. "1-45 off 4.5 overs we were and then obviously we didn't go very well after that. It was just inexperience, just lost our gameplans. All the things we had spoken about and worked towards I thought we didn't do, just simple basic things," Warne said.
