The official warning was given after Mumbai Indians' match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, in which Bangalore, courtesy a whirlwind innings from West Indian Chris Gayle, won by nine wickets.
Sharma admitted to have breached Level 1 offence (Article 2.1.2) of kicking the stumps at the end of the match. Mumbai find themselves with 14 points after 12 games and are placed third in the table.
