India went on to score 392/4 in the 50 overs they batted. Rohit Sharma was unbeaten on 208 off 153 balls with 12 sixes and 13 fours to his name. His first century was scored in the 40th over. Rohit Sharma scored his first hundred in 115 balls. He went on to score another 100 runs in just 36 balls within the next 10 overs. When Rohit Sharma was on 197, he survived a potential run out. Rohit Sharma now has 6 ODI centuries in the year 2017. Rohit Sharma also became the highest scorer at the stadium in Chandigarh eclipsing Virat Kohli's 154.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 68 while Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer scored 88 runs. MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya were dismissed quickly.
Along with Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Martin Guptill are the other batsmen who have scored ODI double hundreds. However, Rohit Sharma is the only cricketer in history to have 3 ODI double tons to his name.
