Samson scores 54 to help Rajasthan beat Mumbai by 7 wickets in CLT20 opener
Riding on Sanju Samson’s 47-ball 54, Rajasthan Royals notched up a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in their Champions League T20 opening match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here on Saturday.

The hosts chased the target with two balls to spare.u00a0Nathan Coulter-Nileu00a0(1-22), Rishi Dhawan (1-17) and Kieron Pollard (1-20) took one wicket each for Mumbai.
Earlier, skipper Rohit Sharma scored a 37-ball 44 to help Mumbai post a fighting 142-7 after Rajasthan skipper Rahul Dravid won the toss.
Rohit, who cracked three fours and two sixes, shared a 52-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Pollard (42 off 36 balls) after Mumbai were struggling at 43-4 in 8.1 overs.
Mumbai scored 55 runs in the last five overs, thanks to some lusty blows towards the end from big hitting Pollard.u00a0Rajasthan’s Vikramjeet Malik picked up three wickets.
