Back in 2009, at the condolence meeting to mourn the death of former BCCI chief Raj Singh Dungarpur, cricket great Sachin Tendulkar had said that the best tribute to Dungarpur, who headed the Cricket Club of India for 14 years, would be to name their main gate after him, similar to how the Marylebone Cricket Club decided to name their gates at the Lord's after cricket legend WG Grace.
After eight years, his wish will become a reality, as the club announced the naming of their main gate after Rajbhai.
