Yesterday, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly, who is the Joint Secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal, announced that they have finalised Bahutule as their coach for the season.
MCA officials were shocked as Bahutule, who was appointed as Mumbai U-23 coach and indoor academy's spin bowling coach after much deliberations. "This is news to us.
He has not informed the MCA. We spent the whole day today to decide on everyone's remuneration including of Bahutule. He was at the BKC ground today to train the boys.
He has already started work with us," said an official. Bahutule said he hasn't snubbed the MCA. "Yes, I had accepted MCA's offer, but I had not signed any contract.
It was only two weeks that I had started working with the boys. I've informed the MCA about my decision."
