Salvador Cabanas, the Paraguayan international shot in the head two years ago in a Mexican nightclub, returned to action Saturday night with Itaugua, the second division Paraguayan outfit where he started out.
Cabanas, who still has the bullet lodged in his head, played most of the first half of a 2-0 win over Martin Ledesma which was secured with two goals after the break.u00a0

Cabanas was shot by a drugs baron in the toilets of a Mexico City bar on January 25, 2010 during an argument as he enjoyed a day off from training with then Mexican side Club America.
The injury meant the striker missed out on a call-up for the World Cup that summer, where Paraguay reached the quarter-finals before bowing out to eventual champions Spain.
