Sri Lanka declared their second innings at the lunch score of 447-6 for an overall lead of 623 in the second and final Test against Bangladesh here today.

Earlier, Tillakaratne Dilshan notched his second century of the match. He hit 14 fours and a six in his sparkling innings of 143 off 175 balls.

At the break, Chamara Kapugedera was unbeaten on 59, including three sixes, while Chaminda Vaas was 20 not out.

Dilshan, who top-scored with 162 in Sri Lanka's first innings total of 384, ensured there was no let-up for the hosts, trailing 1-0 in the series after losing the first Test in Dhaka by 107 runs.

The 32-year-old became the fourth Sri Lankan to score two hundreds in a match after Duleep Mendis, Asanka Gurusinha and Aravinda de Silva.

Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene, however, delayed declaring the innings with the spirited second-innings showing of Bangladesh in the Dhaka Test still fresh in his mind.

Bangladesh scored 413 while chasing 521 for a win on a wearing track.

Dilshan lit up the morning session with his delightful strokeplay despite losing his overnight partner Thilan Samaraweera early.

Samaraweera could add only five runs to his overnight 72 when he was trapped plumb in front of the wicket by spinner Shakib Al Hasan, the bowler ending a 145-run stand for the fifth wicket.

But shortly afterwards, the bowler found himself on the receiving end, with Dilshan and new man Kapugedera lofting him over the fence for a six each in an over.

Dilshan missed the chance to pass the 150-run mark, losing his off-stump to left-arm spinner Enamul Haque.
