West Indies skipper Darren Sammy hailed Sachin Tendulkar's decision to walk without even turning to look at umpire Steve Davis, who had not yet ruled him out.

"That was brilliant and it was a measure of the man," said Sammy, before adding a tongue-in-cheek remark that the maestro could afford to take such a decision. "He is a gentleman, but after scoring over 17,000 runs he can afford to walk."
