McCullum Sr revealed he met his son the evening before the fifth day of the Test which saw Brendon become the first triple Test centurion in New Zealand cricket.
Brendon met his father alongwith New Zealand Cricket chief Stephen Boock. Stuart admitted that limited overs cricket is important from the finance part of the game.
When asked which of his sons — Brendon or Nathan (also a NZ player) was a better player, Stuart said, "They were both talented and played attacking cricket at home."
