Mumbai's under-19 captain Agni Chopra may face heat from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for allegedly abusing Mumbai U-19 coach Satish Samant and the selectors. It is learnt that the furious U-19 selectors have shot off a letter to the MCA yesterday to complain about Chopra's behaviour. Chopra allegedly hurled abuses during a conversation on a social media platform with his U-19 teammates. The selectors and coach got a screenshot of his chat and on that basis, reported it to the MCA.

"The selectors and the coach were disappointed with such behaviour. It was unexpected as Agni [the son of well known Bollywood producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra] was well supported by the selectors and coach despite being out of form and unfit. This came as a shocker for them. They find no reason for being subjected to such abuse. In the letter, the selectors have urged the MCA to take strong action against him," a MCA source told mid-day. The MCA officials will first look into the matter before leaving it to the Managing Committee to take a final call.
