"We have not achieved uniformity or consistent application of the DRS though a vast majority of the players would like to have it," Lorgat said in an ICC media release.
The voice to implement DRS in international cricket got louder since Australian batsmen Michael Hussey and Ed Cowan were given out by the on-field umpires when television replays suggested otherwise during the first Test between India and Australia in Melbourne a few days ago.
Terming 2011 an outstanding year for cricket, Lorgat praised the World Cup jointly hosted by Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. "I can clearly recall those magical scenes in Mumbai after India had won the World Cup," Lorgat said.
The ICC chief executive though considered the spot-fixing incident involving three Pakistani cricketersu00a0-- Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammed Amiru00a0-- a low of 2011. "A major lowlight would be the sentencing of the three Pakistanis in the spot-fixing incident.u00a0
