Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli led the wishes as he shared an impactful message for Republic Day on Twitter, "The future depends on what we do today. Let's be the strength of our nation and help it reach greater heights. Wishing everyone a Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind."

Republic Day is celebrated every year in the country on January 26 to commemorate the day the constitution of India came into effect. It was on this day in 1950 that India drafted and adopted their own laws.
