Antonio Lopez Habas, the Spanish head coach of the Atletico de Kolkata franchise, told mid-day yesterday that he preferred Atletico's style of counter-attack supported by defensive organisation and would ideally want his team to play the same way in the inaugural edition of the Indian Super League (ISL).
"But before that, I need to see all my players in action first — the Indian footballers as well as the foreigners. Only after I see them in practice, I shall be able to formulate a perfectly suitable strategy for my team," he said.
The Kolkata franchise is sending its players for a month-long training camp in Madrid from Monday. The team will also play four friendly matches in Spain. The ISL will begin on October 12 when ADK will face Mumbai in Kolkata.
