Lyon are set to complete a deal for Manchester United right-back Rafael, according to the French club's president Jean-Michel Aulas.
The 25-year-old Brazilian featured just 11 times under Louis van Gaal last term and was not part of United's squad for their pre-season tour of the United States last month.
Rafael has now travelled to France in order to finalise to Ligue 1.
"Rafael has arrived and we expect to reach an agreement with Manchester United. He's a cheerful Brazilian!" Aulas posted on Twitter.
In July, Rafael's agent had claimed that United had offered the defender to Benfica as part of a potential deal for Nicolas Gaitan.
