San Jose: Dutch striker Memphis Depay scored his first goal for English club Manchester United in a 3-1 pre-season win over Major League Soccer (MLS) side San Jose Earthquakes.

Depay scored United's second goal, eight minutes before half-time on Tuesday.

Spanish midfielder Juan Mata put United ahead, before midfielder Fatai Alashe pulled one back for the home team, reported bbc.co.uk on Wednesday.
Midfielder Andreas Pereira scored the third goal for United.
United have their first two games of their pre-season so far and next face Spanish champions FC Barcelona in Santa Clara on Saturday.
