Ankara: Turkey's football captain Arda Turan sent a message of sympathy and solidarity after the attack that occurred on Tuesday night at Istanbul's Ataturk airport, leaving at least 41 dead and 239 wounded.

The FC Barcelona midfielder expressed his condolences to Turkey on social networking site Twitter and criticised those responsible for the attack, reports Efe.
"I pray for our police martyrs and may God have mercy on our civilians. Damn terror ... #stopterrorism," Turan wrote.
The tweet included an image symbolising the airport in the Turkish city with the accompanying message "pray for Istanbul."
