Brit singer Perrie Edwards has revealed that son Axel was born earlier than expected and just a day after she and footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had set up the nursery. The couple welcomed Axel in August, just days after Edwards’s Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock gave birth to twins.

According to The Sun, the Little Mix babies weren’t supposed to be so close in age, with Axel actually due in September. The singer posted a couple of videos on social media where her father and boyfriend are seen building the nursery for Axel. In the videos, Edwards can be heard saying: “One man surrounded by 20 boxes! It was a family affair getting the nursery ready for the little man’s arrival.”

She added: “I can’t believe he came the day after we put up the furniture #ThreeWeeksEarly.” Later, Edwards Instagrammed a black and white photo of her son’s wardrobe, full of tiny sleepsuits and wrote: “@MamasAndPapas I can’t thank you enough for getting me fully prepared for Baby Axel’s arrival!”
