Felix on Friday arrived from Atletico Madrid and Cancelo from Manchester City to reinforce a Barcelona side that want to defend its Spanish league title and return to the elite of Europe by challenging for the Champions League. Felix, 23, spent the second half of last season at Chelsea, while Cancelo did the same at Bayern Munich. Barcelona said neither deal included the option to make their transfers permanent. Felix will likely have to fight for playing time with Barcelona already loaded with talent.
Fati off to Brighton
Barcelona sent Ansu Fati, 20, to Brighton on a single-season loan. Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat described Manchester United as the “club of my dreams” after completing a season-long loan move to the English team in the final hours of the last day of the transfer window.
Amrabat moved on Friday from Italian club Fiorentina, which reportedly received a loan fee of 10 million euros (approx Rs 89.32cr). United have the option to make the signing permanent for 20 million euros (approx Rs 178.64cr).
