Euro 2020 is here and so is football excitement!

While we witness another European Championship, I feel defending champions Portugal and world champions France are the teams that are most likely to face each other in the final again, where Portugal, like Euro 2016, will seal a dramatic win over France. The world awaits a massive performance from Portugal with their talismanic captain Cristiano Ronaldo along with world-class midfielders like Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva being the reason enough for making it happen. The squad also boast of a solid line of defenders in Pepe and Ruben Dias, who have performed exceptionally well for their respective clubs last season and they make it difficult for teams like France and other attack-minded teams to score.

France are a team that can dominate all aspects of the game. From their star forwards—Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Karim Benzema—to their charismatic midfielders— Paul Pogba, N’golo Kante and Adrien Rabio, And even their experienced defenders—Benjamin Pavard, Raphael Varane and Presnel Kimpembe—all have an aura about them which can power this team to glory. With the athletic and consistent captain Hugo Lloris under the bars, the team is definitely one of the favourites to win the tournament. Manager Didier Deschamps will definite be eying another trophy with this talented squad.

Though France and Portugal will go as favourites, you can't ignore former world champions Germany. They boast of one of the best midfielders in Serge Gnabry, Ilkay Gundogan, Joshua Kimmich and Toni Kroos and forwards like Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller, which makes this team more dangerous. Striker Kai Havertz, who recently scored the winner for Chelsea in the Champions League final against Manchester City, will be the man to watch out for. If the defence stays organised and the midfielders unleash their full potential, Germany can definitely win the Euro.

Belgium’s Golden Generation can finally emerge victorious in the Euro as they have one of the best strikers—Romelu Lukaku—leading the attack. And with talented midfielders like Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Youn Tielemans pulling strings, the Red Devil’s are a force to be reckoned with. Not to forget the experienced and one of the best goalkeepers in Europe—Thibaut Courtois. After nearly reaching the final in the 2018 World Cup and finishing third, Robert Martinez would surely look forward to guiding the Belgians to a successful campaign.

This Euro is going to be an exciting competition but France will win this tournament as their squad is strong and well balanced. They have numerous quality players in every department. and it will be a difficult proposition for any team to beat them on any given day. With the presence of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and defenders Raphael Varane and Presnel Kimpembe, opposition strikers will have their task cut out. And with the likes of Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante in the midfield to support their blazing attackers, the Didier Deschamps-managed team are definitely one of the major contenders.
