Gabon hope to be able to use captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Tuesday when they play their last group game at the Africa Cup of Nations, after his dramatic exclusion from Friday’s 1-1 draw against Ghana in Yaounde.

Aubameyang missed Gabon’s opening game against the Comoros Islands after testing positive for COVID-19 on arrival in Cameroon for the tournament and being placed in quarantine along with teammate Mario Lemina.

Andre Ayew gave the Black Stars the lead but Jim Allevinah’s superb 88th-minute strike earned Gabon a point that leaves them in a strong position to reach the knockouts.
