Rizvi Springfield's left-arm spinner Aakash Luthra's five wickets restricted IES VN Sule Guruji to 189 for nine on the opening day of the four-day Harris Shield final at the Bombay Gymkhana yesterday.

Rizvi Springfield's left-arm spinner Aakash Luthra'su00a0five wickets restricted IES VN Sule Guruji to 189 for nine on the opening day of the four-day Harris Shield final at the Bombay Gymkhana yesterday. Luthra, who had fine figures of 29-13-51-5, was well supported by left-arm pace bowler Vikas Singh (3-77).

For IES, Vignesh Gawande and Omkar Jadhav scored 44 and 30 respectively.

Rizvi coach Raju Pathak was pleased with his bowlers' show. "The bowlers have done their job considering that the wicket is good for batting. It is up to the batsmen to do their job now. We feel confident as all our batsmen are in good form."
