MSSA's Hon General Secretary Sebastian Fernandes was shocked when the school's football coach Chanchal Singh called him on Wednesday evening to inform him of their decision to pull out.
"It is a shock for us because till Tuesday they were willing to play. This move will disturb the schedule. There will be no replacement because it is too late now," said Fernandes.
Dhirubhai Ambani International's Director of Sports Cawas Billimoria said: "Our school re-opens on August 5 and the kids are on holiday. That's the reason we couldn't field the team in the MSSA U-16 tournament this year."
