The maths were in Murray's favour as Roger Federer's straight sets win over Robin Soderling earlier on yesterday eased his path to the last four.<br /><br />Federer had clinched his place on top of Group B with that win and, as a result, Murray walked onto court aware that he needed only one set to book his place in the last four.<br /><br />He achieved that aim comfortably and was in complete control as he wrapped up the win in just one hour and nine minutes.
