After Saina Nehwal won the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold title, Olympic Gold Quest CEO Viren Rasquinha had an inspiring insight to share on Facebook. The former India hockey captain wrote: "Just five months after knee surgery, Saina Nehwal wins the Malaysia GPG. What an awe-inspiring performance from an amazing athlete who pushes the limits every single day.
I remember when Saina immediately called me after losing at Rio 2016 and there was an avalanche of criticism. She met Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala in Mumbai and we decided to do the knee surgery immediately. I am so glad that OGQ could facilitate the surgery for Saina and be there for her when she needed it the most. From my own little bit of personal experience, an athlete needs emotional support the most when they are sick or injured. As the old saying goes 'success has many fathers'. Recently, Saina came to our OGQ workshop for our junior scholarship athletes and the one message she had for the youngsters was, "NEVER GIVE UP". Thank you Saina. OGQ is so proud to support you since 2009."
