Mahesh Bhupathi and partner Max Mirnyi made easy work of their first round at the US Open doubles yesterday.
The Indo-Belarussian pair beat the French pair of Arnaud Clement and Nicolas Mahaut to reach the second round.
Bhupathi and Mirnyi were dominant from the first game and easily broke the opponent's serve often to win the first set 6-1.
Though the Frenchmen did put up a fight in the second, Bhupathi and Mirnyi were just too good on the day.
The fourth seeds won the second set 6-4 to seal their progress. The win will come as good news for Indian fans after Leander Paes and partner Lukas Dlouhy, the defending champions, were knocked out in the first round earlier in the day.
