High on confidence, the Mumbai Stars enjoyed another successful day as they subdued SPG Billiardiers 3-1 in the Qualifier-1 of the BSAM-organised Rs 10 lakh prize-money Videocon-Billiards Premier League played at the Garware Club on Tuesday night. However, Billiardiers can still make the summit round if they beat the Rrockets in Qualifier-II. Rrockets beat Adamo Potters 3-2 in the Eliminator.

Mumbai Stars wrested the initial advantage as their doubles pairing of Nikhil Ghadge and Hasan Badami (-75 handicap) defeated the Billiardiers duo of Shekhar Surve and Shivam Arora (-95) by a comfortable 175-63 points.
National Junior Billiards champion, Ishpreet Singh Chadha (-100) overcame seasoned pro Ashok Shandilya (-190) 200-280 margin in the second frame to level the match 1-1. The Mumbai Stars regained the lead when Vishal Madan (-160) beat Devendra Joshi (-190) by a close 260-273 margin in the third frame.
In Frame Four, Shandilya, who was again drawn to meet Ishpreet ensured that this time he won 290-133 and took Mumbai Stars place into the final.
