The wedding celebrations of international wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt have brought some good news for his village in Sonipat district of Haryana, with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday announcing several development projects there

Sonipat (Haryana): The wedding celebrations of international wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt have brought some good news for his village in Sonipat district of Haryana, with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday announcing several development projects there.


Khattar announced grant of Rs 10 crore for canal-based drinking water supply, irrigation water for fields and development of roads in Bhainswal Kalan, the native village of the wrestler.


The Chief Minister had gone to the village to attend Dutt's wedding.

He lauded his efforts and hard work to bring international laurels for the country and Haryana.

Dutt won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. He won a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. He has won medals in other international championships as well.
