The half marathon competitors would get to run on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link twice in their quest to complete the 21.1km journey, a media release said on Friday.
The race would start opposite the Worli Dairy on the northbound carriageway of the Worli Sea Face in the 13th edition of the event and not at Bandra.
The second portion of the route, however, would be the same as before once the runners reach National Sports Club of India, the release added.
"Over the years, with the growth in the running community, we have felt the need to increase the holding area for the half marathoners. With the expanse of the Worli Dairy, we will be able to provide enhanced facilities, for the runners before they start their run," said the race promoters' joint MD, Vivek Singh.
