Earlier, Chittesh had won the race comfortably and results were declared accordingly. However, following an enquiry by the Stewards, Chittesh was penalized for "deliberately braking", thus causing Amit Ahuja, who was following close behind, to go off the track while trying to avoid a collision and out of the race. Chittesh was docked nine places.
The results in the other classes were confirmed with Partho Ghorpade (Juniors) and Tarun Reddy (Micro Max) taking the honours in their respective sections.
Both Parth and Tarun were unbeatable on the day. Eleven-year old Tarun from Chennai, in particular, in just his first competitive season, showcased his talent in a telling fashion while Parth was equally impressive in winning his race with plenty to spare.
However, in the junior section, the positions were altered for the second and third positions, though no explanation was available immediately.
