Force India driver Paul di Resta is currently loving life in Formula One, and it is easy to see why.
After becoming only the second rookie since 1980 to score a point in his first two races, Di Resta was yesterday beaming from ear to ear in the Force India paddock home at the Sepang circuit.
The fortuitous 10th place on his debut in Australia, when Sauber had their two drivers disqualified for a technical infringement, was followed by a far more richly deserved 10th in Malaysia.
Two races in and Di Resta already has the edge on team-mate Adrian Sutil as he has out-qualified the German on both occasions and was one of the class acts around Sepang.
With a big grin on his face, Di Resta proclaimed his display in Malaysia as "one of my best feelings in motor sport".
Di Resta added: "It's great to have finished two grands prix in good positions. With us currently on a double header, I head to China a very happy man.
Asked whether he had exceeded his own expectations, the 24-year-old added: "If you'd said I'd score a point in my first two races, then yeah, but I'm not getting carried away with it."
