It turned out to be double delight for Indian lifter Shivam Saini as he clinched a silver in senior and gold medal in the junior category at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships yesterday

Penang (Malaysia): It turned out to be double delight for Indian lifter Shivam Saini as he clinched a silver in senior and gold medal in the junior category at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships yesterday.

Competing in the 94kg senior men's weight category, Saini bagged the silver medal with a lift of 132 in snatch and 168 in clean and jerk for a total of 300kg.

In the junior event, Saini managed 132 in snatch and 168 in clean and jerk according to a release issued by Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWF).
