At a press conference on the sidelines of the Citi Open here, when the World No 41 was asked to express her opinion on the Swift-West saga, Bouchard, who is pretty well informed about the pop music world, was quite detailed in her reply. "I love Taylor Swift and I went to her concert and I love her songs and everything, but I feel like sometimes she portrays herself as the victim a lot. And she did this time around," said the 22-year-old.

Swift is upset with Kanye for naming her in the lyrics of his song Famous where he also says he'll have sex with her and calls her a b**ch. "She (Swift) said that she wasn't aware of that specific line, like b**ch, but she heard the other line about having sex. So I was like, 'Really, what's the huge difference? You approved the thing. where Kanye says he'll have sex with you, but you didn't hear the time he said b**ch. Come on. It's all the same thing to me," added Bouchard claiming that Swift was simply over-reacting and seeking unnecessary attention.

"So, I think she just over-reacted way too much. I think she just tried to get attention by saying that she didn't approve of those lyrics in Famous. But then it's the celeb world and it's just entertaining," concluded the 2014 Wimbledon finalist, whose career has gone downhill since.
