Former footballer and referee Nitin Bhosale (51) passed away on Monday morning following a brief illness.

He was suffering from fever for the past two days, but suffered a cardiac arrest later.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last. Bhosale is survived by his wife and son. Bhosale had represented Rhino Sports Club and later his employers BEST Arts & Sports Club.
During his playing career, Bhosale also qualified as a referee and officiated in many top-level matches in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
