Sania and her father Imran Mirza were stranded at Houston airport after their flight to Dubai was delayed. The Indian tennis ace arrived only last evening, the day of her wedding anniversary.

Sania Mirza was desperately trying to get back to Dubai to celebrate her one-year wedding anniversary with former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik. "We won the doubles yesterday and tomorrow is our wedding anniversary. Our flight got delayed from Atlanta. So right now the plan is just to get back," said Sania, told Gulf News.

"Shoaib and my mum are also arriving (in Dubai). I haven't seen my family for a few months, so everyone is just getting together in Dubai," she said, adding that her anniversary celebrations would be a family affair.
